My friend bought some fake items from ebay

I meant you might find some good deal from ebay, and we understand why we want to bid on this website. We don't mind to use second - hand products, because they are still in good condition, and we have a faith in our good people that they would honor their words according to their product description.
A friend of mine bought 2 pairs of Nike shoes from ebay. After payment were wired, and the package received, they just discovered that what they bought are not actually Nike. They are simply fake. No matter, how my friend made bad comment and rating on this seller, I guess Ebay can only give a warning, that is all. So, how many of you all actually receive fake stuff from ebay auction. I don't mean that is ebay's fault.

I once bought a bootleg DVD off eBay, I made sure to contact the seller and he refunded my money.

you have to use paypal when you buy something from ebay. If you send a picture to paypal and tell them that you got fake items I think they would have refunded you. If enough people complaint and give them negative ratings they can't sell on ebay anymore. But your friend should have checked their rating before buying maybe he was not the first person to receive a bad item from that seller. So always check a persons feedback, if they have good feedback they are not going to sell you fake items.

This is why I always pay by Paypal. If the item is fake you can ask for a refund then, so you are protected better than if you used another payment method. Do you know how your friend paid? If she paid with Paypal, she might be eligible for a refund, you should tell her that!

This is why I don't want to do online shopping, I've seen a lot of fake stuff from e-bay sold at a very high price. I can't believe many people are still falling for it. But... I guess there is no stopping it. Only thing we can do is be careful of what we buy online.

In the transaction, the online shopping is common. But in Viet Nam where I live then this rusult is risky. This often don't like the post picture online, the quality is very bad and a refund isn't possible. I hope this situation have a solution sooon. If your gooods are not properly compared to the images on it, you can tell the managerment ebay so they demanded a refund of you

I think it is better if you buy books in Ebay than clothing apparel or shoes. maybe you can report a problem to Ebay. I did that once when I bought a book and the seller did not send it. So I reported it escalate the problem and then paypal return my money.

Hi, king. it's really a little difficult to purchase some things in ebay. but what i did before when i purchased a shoes, since i was a member in some discussion boards (nike skateboarding), I did ask a little help to confirm if the shoes are legit and i am thankful because all of the guys and gals there offered their help to see the photo if it's fake or not.
It's a lesson learned to your friend. He should be careful next time because money is not easy to ear these days. I hope he's okay now.

with ebay, it is important to read everything. Even the reviews as well. I tend to go for sellers with 98 per cent rating or higher. Even read the negative feedback. I stay clear of electronics stuff.
But I too got scammed. I bought a 2 gig memory card. Even stamped 2 gig. But when I put the memory card into my cell phone and formatted it, it was only a 1 gig. I then searched for prices for a 1 gig in online shops. I found out that I still paid less for postage and the card in comparison to online shops. Even though I didn't get what I though I was bidding for, the end results were still good.
But we still have to be careful

my son got seriously scammed on ebay too. He paid like 2000 bucks for a drum set that he never received. He said it all looked right and went just like other purchases except the last step where he was supposed to get his order number. he never got it or the drums!

Sad to hear about this incident happened to your friend.
That is why I never try to shop at ebay because I am so worry
the things that I bought may not be nice and suit me or even
fake one.
Your friend can actually report the case to EBAY admin and at least see
any action taken against this seller who sell fake products to customer.

I do not shop via Ebay often but if the price looks too good to be true then it is most likely fake! You should read more about the sellers information to see if they are selling legitimate items or if you have any questions ask the seller before purchasing. There are a lot of things online not just ebay that are fake.
