Why are crooks getting smarter?

Is it because of free lessons conducted by the media and police? Whenever there are cases of burglarly or murder, theft, there will be reports on how victims came about. From there, there will be precautionary advise from the police, teaching the public about the dangers around. When that happens, crooks will pick up those information and use it to their advantage.
So tell me, is there any other way of taking precautions and yet not giving out advantages to those crooks out there?

i think they are already smart, hehe and that smartness made them crooks! they are always thinking on the ways on ho they can take advantage of other people, and those info that they get, they even adds more on it, sometimes i think that they even think more advance. hehe
i think what we should do is to be smarter than they are, think like they are and from there think ho to take precautions on it, or just use our common sense and be extra careful all the time.

haha =D U are right!! It's due to all those exposures on tv, and crooks are picking up tips from there.. haha =D 
Crooks are already smart to start with, and now they are using working things into their favour 
BUt at the same time, police needs to educate the public about what we should watch out for, and actions to take when we are in the situation. We have no choice. Actually i would say, it's not that crooks are becoming smarter, but rather we have taking our safety and protection from the police for granted.. hehe
