As the title says, what is the saddest film or TV series you have ever seen? Better yet, has anything you have ever seen on TV made you cry, or at least get very watery eyes? I would say that for me, the first things that come to my mind are the film Forrest Gump, which I found to be extremely sad at some points, and the TV series Prison Break, in the last episode where the main character died. (Sorry if that was a spoiler for anyone who is watching the series :o).

What Dreams May Come was a tear jerker for me. Also Titanic, which was amplified by knowing that it really happened. Also, Where the Red Ferns Grow, Old Yeller, and The Yearling.

I havn't seen What Dreams May Come, Where the Red Ferns Grow, Old Yeller or The Yearling, or even Titanic. But I have heard from many friends that Titanic is extremely sad and one of my friends apparently cried when watching it. There are a lot of movies I have to see, I just never really have enough time though.

Hiya Jadsta, Have just been watching a very moving Film I think it´s called in English "The Boy With The Striped Pajamas". I found it too sad to watch in some parts but I have watched it till the end. I did so want both of them to be saved. Very sad there are other sad Films and Series too. So many I would not list all of them here I prefer the much happier ones really. But I know that some things are real and sad things happen too.

Hi lovinangels, I've never seen that movie before but I think I may have heard about it at some point. The name rings a bell but I'm really not sure what it is. Is it about world war 2, when the German boy makes a friend with another boy in a concentration camp and ends up following him into the gas chamber? If so, then I think I have seen it, and it was very sad yeah.

I don't tend to cry watching things much, but I do get watery eyes. The movie A Walk to Remember gets me every time. The episode of Criminal Minds this week, where JJ left definitely made me teary-eyed. I did recently actually cry watching a tv movie. It was Front of the Class about a man with Tourette's Syndrome, who became a teacher. It's not a sad movie overall, but one scene did get to me. And when I was a little girl, I full out sobbed at the end of ET.

I havn't seen A Walk To Remember or the TV show Criminal Minds, but I know what you mean. Sometimes there are really sad scenes or episodes of shows that aren't usually particularly meant to be sad in the first place. I havn't seen Front of the Class either, but that actually sounds like a really interesting film. I will definately look for that one online too and try to watch it. Surprisingly enough, I also havn't watched ET, even though I know it's a classic that almost everyone has seen hehe.

The saddest film i have ever seen would have to be the notebook. It makes me cry every time i see it. Also titanic and a walk to remember. Titanic itself doesn't make me cry it's just the ending where all of the people are on the ship again and jack and rose are reunited. I can't help but shed a few tears.

Yeah, I've never seen Titanic or The Notebook either, but I heard that Titanic is very good and extremely sad. I've bnever heard of the notebook at all though unfortunately, but maybe I'll watch that some day.

It was sad, but I thought the ending was extremely beautiful. So I don't know whether my tears were from being sad, or just being moved.

Speaking of saddest film or TV series, I also have a soft heart with low resistance in controlling my tears from falling whenever I watch tearful tales. Two of my favorites (that made my two male colleagues cried too) are 'If Only' and 'A Walk To Remember'. There is a short video in youtube that I happened to watch and can't help my tears from falling... 'A Father's Love Most Inspirational Video Ever'. Enjoy watching them, just make sure there's a tissue beside you ;)

Just watched the youtube video, A Father's Love Most Inspirational Video Ever :) It was really good, but I didn't particularly find it really that sad. I was under the impression that the father would die of a heart attack after doing all that for his son, and that it would have made it really sad. It was definately inspirational though, but I didn't cry or get watery eyes :/

"Toy Story 3", surprisingly, had me in tears at the end of the movie because Andy reminded me so much of my brother, and when went away to college. I don't have my brother around anymore, and I remember the day, like it was yesterday, when he went to college. Also, the fact that he was growing up, and of course he couldn't have his toys with him any longer, it all really struck a cord with me.

Terms of Endearment has to be the saddest film that i have seen. I will cry anytime that i see it. Sometimes i have a hard time just getting through it. The subject of the movie hits me close to home. It makes it even sadder and more difficult to bear at times.

Hello Jadsta, I like Forrest Gump, too! I was so emotional when I watched it. But I think the saddest film I ever watched was "The Awakening" where the leading actor was Robin Williams who played the role of a doctor who never got tired of searching and experimenting how to cure people who were suffering from various kind of psychiatric problem. The most dramatic part there was when he has successfully filled the whole hospital with "normal" patients that lasted only for certain time. But time came when he realized that he can never change the way of life. Instead of awakening the "forever sleeping" patients, he was awakened by the reality. Happy mylotting!

For me the saddest movie series that I've ever seen is the "TITANIC"... i know many of the viewer did cry ...it was the greatest movie I've seen,it shows how powerful love is... the lesson is there,,the girl did not give up even if her mother don't like the guy...she still went back to the ship for the boy,,,how sweet it was..hope someone do like that for me...risk his life to save me...
