We do still have a cassette player in our house and we actually still have a VHS player in our house as well. However, we actually aren't using either of those things in our home right now. We got a new television back in February and we've actually not even hooked our DVD player back up. I think that we will probably get rid of the VHS player because we really don't have many movies for it. However, as far as getting rid of the cassette player, I think it will probably be a long time before we get rid of that.

Yes, I still have a tape recorder - reel-to-reel and a cassette recorder, and we have a video recorder, so that we can watch all the movies on video we bought over the years from time to time. We mostly use for TV recordings our DVD/hard drive recorder though. Technology keeps moving on! _Derek

Hello. Yes we do still have our tape recorders and vhs players but we don't use them anymore. We just kept them in our cabinet. Others are just sitting around the corner. Hehe. They're vintage now but still I can see some people using them and I know they're still very useful up to these days. shadow41

No, i dont have tape recorder or vhs player at my home because i have a dvd player out here, and why would i keep them if i havd a new technology, but some people keep them for there memories and antiques etc. The technology now adays is really advanced, the vcd player that i have is actually 3 in one. It also also tape recorder and fm radio inbuilt in this, so why would i need a tape recorder

Yes, both and, in fact, all our DVD players are DVD/VHS players and one is a VHS with recordable DVD. I also have a 12 or 13 yr old Go video that can record tape to tape

Yes, I still have both, although I don't use them very often. I collected quite a lot of movies on VHS and have only replaced about half of them on DVDs. As for the tape recorder, I have a small one, one that uses micro-cassettes. That can come in handy when certain conversations need to be or should be recorded. I did use that recently to record my husband snoring. He has sleep apnea and has a CPAP machine to use when he sleeps but only uses it occasionally because he says he doesn't need it all the time. I had to prove him wrong so I've been recording him while he is asleep so he can hear just how bad he sounds. There is one very old thing I wish I still had, an old record player. I do have a turntable hooked up to the TV and also have a newer record player/cassette/CD player on which I can make CD copies of old vinyl records or cassette tapes. Still, I miss my old record player and wish I still had it.

We no longer have a VCR in the home. We haven't for probably 3-4 years or so. We had one up until then because the kids had a lot of Disney movies they used to watch on it but they aren't interested in that anymore.

I no longer have a VHS but I do have a couple of tape players that I can play cassettes on. It's pretty inexpensive, however time consuming, to put the tapes on cd. I need to look into doing that again though as it's getting more and more difficult to find one!

I got a sony walkman, the ones with tape recorders. I also have a Pioneer mini component with tape recorders although it's a DVD player as well. I haven't really tried playing the casette player since i no longer have casette tapes.
