The high court of George Town, Penang, Malaysia just sentenced a drug trafficker to death. A carpenter, Mr Chen will be hung because of his guilty in trafficking 59.39 gram of morphine in two years ago. After hanging one drug trafficker, we expect to hear many other drug traffickers to be detained and charged later. Such routine never stop for so many years. Does this death punishment effectively change the problem of this society? What will be the implication after killing a father of two daughters?

Makes no sense to kill someone who is in possession of Morphine. That way my mother should be killed as well for having medicines with the same function as Morphine. Some countries really seem to have had a knock in the head if it comes to prioritizing things.

What is the usage of this Morphine? What will be the feeling after using it? If it is used as medicine to cure people, then why the carpenter still has to be hung?
