Is mylot.com a charity service?

I understand how do twitter, google, yahoo, mturks and other popular sites make their income. But it's still a secret for me how does mylot.com earn? From what??? They let us make money from posting, discussing and responding but where do they get this cash? Is this kind of charity? Or just investing in growth of popularity and improving the quality of content hoping to profit from it at some point in the future? Please, advice me. (I am very new in mylot.com and probably this question has been discussed already previously - if itso t hen I apologize, but it is still not clear to me).
