My Dog Doesn't Want to Eat

We have a yellow lab, Buccaneer, who is only eating a little, about half what he ate as a younger dog. We have been feeding him Purina Fit & Trim for several years, but lately he seems indifferent. We tried Gravy Train, and that seemed to suit him better for a few days, but not for long. Any suggestions. other than see the vet--we have already done that?
