might work thre but the cost of private schools here is out of hand. and they should be teaching the same things in public school so all kids get a good learning exspereince!

I don't know this plan will be a successful or not but I am happy that; Indian Government had come up with this new innovative plan. Even if it's not a total success, at least few poor student will be get benefited under this scheme. let every Indian put some effort to help a poor child to get his basic common education. Please spread this word, I don't know about this till I read this discussion. Thanks Mustafa.

I think they could be successful. If all parties give them their supports. Because mostly time we saw that when government are going to pass any suggestion then mostly politicians not giving their supports to government and it is not fully passed. So now if whole country give their fully supports to governments then it becomes successful in our country.

In India we will have all the great projects only in papers. well we have the largest democracy. we have a lot to achieve in application. I mean when it passes through the tunnel and reach the destination there will be nothing left over. This plan has more practical problems like the low class students want be able to cope up with the high class students in the private school. Moreover the extra expenses in private schools are very high.

Hello, I think it's an awful idea. India should first show zero tolerance to the politicians and officials to ensure the implementation of policies. We have laws, but very few really cares about them. We have so many welfare schemes, little of which has actually proved successful. Though they have issued a 25% reservation, I really doubt that merely doing that would make any change. Every year our country receives thousands of crores of money through international loan, foreign aids etc. They all are absorbed by this corrupt and inefficient machinery of Government. Until and unless India eliminates corruption, no such scheme will have any positive effect. They will be just another way to abuse the fund. Thanks. God bless you.

oh ya you are right but I think the government is becoming active and trying to help the education in the country to grow it may be implemented by 2011 and because the world is expecting India to become a super power by 2020 so they have taken many steps to do that..

I raised my children in the private, Catholic School system and have to say that every dime I spent, or shall I say hundreds and thousands I spent alone was worth every bit of it. How the government plans to provide long term for this expense seems a bit odd. Private school, well at least here in the US is very expensive. If so than I hope the children just do not get 1 year per say, that they get the full educational experience from the private schools. Some how I do not see the government flipping the bill for this, at least long term though. Perhaps if the government invested even 75% to improving the public school system maybe it may not be bad. It will not only be way cheaper but then not only some kids will benefit but all.

well you have a point but here also the private school fees is very high but the government will pay them how much they need to spend on one child they won't pay them the exact amount of fees which is implemented by the private school...

..well in our country here in the Philippines ,i think they were not able to success for their plan cause many of the poor cannot go to college then they don't even think that there are many poor who are not able to study because of there plans that never ever succeed..,so we will not able to wait for the governments plan ,we need to give our best in order to have an education to all who wants to study..
