Do you Hate your Boss?

At one time or another we have all faced an impossible boss. No matter how many times you shake your head in wonder, they do continue to amaze you. Pick the absolutely dumbest strategy, and they implement it. This person has no life. They live to work. They assume that the family photo on the desk is enough quality time with the spouse and kids. Unrealistic deadline, Work related calls at home, Work on weekends; these are some of their favourite techniques that they implement on us. What about yours? How your Boss treats you?

I love my boss! I lover her so much that I saved copies of her resume and sent it to different compaines so others can have the wonderful opportunity of working with her. This would also save me from committing murder in the future. Serisouly, I can handle a supervisor who can be very demanding. I have no problem keeping up with the pressure. I'd say bring it on. But I can not stand a supervisor who is mentally unfit to do her job. Someone icompetent and obviously has no clue what she's doing and only got the position because of her brown nosing. All right, rant over. ^.^

My boss can't spell very simple words. Like "bicycle." And she is a native English speaker! However, she is very good at her job, which is keeping our pool on budget while keeping customers happy, and staff (reasonably) happy. She seems to actually care about us, and will defend us against irrational customers, even sometimes saying "You do not speak to my staff like that. If you are that upset you come to me and we find a solution." So, I don't mind so much the fact that she can't spell. (Although normally I would think that people who can't spell don't deserve to make as much money as she makes!)

I still wonder how come some of them got into their position when they are incapable of doing their basic work. Your trick of sending copies of boss resume to other companies is a good one. I have to try that one. And when he joins the other team, then his team members will join my discussion. haa. ha.

yes. I hate him so much! My ex boss seem not to think anymore. He is always after people's mistakes all the time but when he makes a mistake he just laughed it off like an idiot! When I made a mistake, he keeps on talking to me " warning me not to wait for our German counterparts to kick me off the company" but when in fact when you compare my mistake to his... his was more moronic mistake than mine. I hated him so much I shouted at him!

These things happen to many people, They will never admit their mistakes and their excuse will be like and order. And if they caught you doing the same, all your excuses goes in vein. I must say you got a great courage as you shouted on your boss. What was his reaction then?

I had the boss and i dont like her way of managing her people included me. He is not a professional type of boss for me as how she handle her people or groups in terms of speaking and gesture. AT first time we meet she is nice to us she show her care and told us that she is look like a mother and dear friend to us but when time is passing by the windblows go to opposite direction and she begins to hates us in one reason, for sure because we don't have any sales or productions. Anyway in our kind of job that is really a matter no sale no harmony between the agent and the boss.

There are really bosses whom you can't really appreciate what they are trying to do to you. They also have their goals and that is for the benefit of the company. Good thing my boss is not so hard to understand. I am fortunate to have a boss that cares and listens although because he has a lot of things in mind, he sometimes forgets about his employees welfare. But i do understand him anyways..

If my boss was pestering me with work-related calls in my free time, I would wait until midnight to call back, interrupting his sleep, and saying "sorry, I just saw that you called, and I knew it MUST have been important or you would have waited until I was at work and getting paid." Hopefully he would get the message!

Oh, that's a nice trick. But I can't try it. If I don't attend his call, he will leave me a voice mail saying "This is the problem and reply me soon with an e-mail".

I have no problems with my boss. He's got a picture of his wife in his desk but that is okay. he looks like a good family man who spends quality time with his family. He gives us time to do things on our own, he lets us be - even treats us occasionally with ice creams, and even sodas when there are some work to be done really fast. He lets us leave on time, and actually encourages us not to go on overtimes. There are projects but he gives us the benefit to give him the time we can finish the job, supports us and backs us up. I think He's really a great person to be liked, loved, respected and not to be hated. Nope.. of course no hatred even if my work sometimes is already hard, stressful.. i still feel i do not blame it on one person that is not directly involved.

Yes, I hate my boss; actually no body in my company like my boss :-) My boss is a one in a million. He like to be treated like as if he were GOD. All of my team members have issues with him. If the work require to do A then B then C, and I or somebody else told him so, he request that we do C the A the B just to make sure that he has the decision, and to tell us that we don't know, he is the master. One accident happened with me personally when He was supposed to do some work and he was late, he send an e-mail blaming me for his mistake to other departments !!!

Boss is boss. Because Boss is paying us. Because Boss, we got the money. Because Boss, we will no longer be a human being unemployed. So, even though our boss is the figure who we hate, we must keep appreciate her. And as workers him, I will serve all her orders during her orders not harm myself and not against the law

Boss should not have to be boss all the time. Sometimes he should loosen up, mingle with his workers as friends or helping guide. If his only job is to bossing around then work atmosphere will not be as good to work.

If that situation comes, I will just say 3 words to him "You are Fired". lol Jokes apart, I would balance the act of keeping my employees as well as my higher bosses happy. I would take suggestion from both sides and implement the things which benefits employees without doing any losses to the company's.

That's good, you are your own boss. No one has the authority to say how you want to work. Hope you don't treat your employees as my boss does.

Working in family run business has its share of +ve and -ve points. The family member will support you financially and emotionally, on the other hand you will recieve direct feedbacks(which may hurt). My brother helps my dad in our family business and they usually have small fights but end of the day he have to agree with his father.

You know, I actually started a new job almost two months ago and my boss is really great. She's helpful, she'll point out a mistake but doesn't belabor the point that I did mess up, it's more of a "for your information, this happened" type discussion. However- my first job out of college had a boss that wow... he was different. On his good days, he was the BEST boss you could hope for. He'd get a wild hair and send a chocolate bar around to all the women in the office, he was friendly, would make jokes and was just a joy to be around and work with. Then the very next day, or even later that same day, he'd go nuts! Yelling, going red in the face, belittling employees, he'd honestly go on the war path. There was no talking to him or reasoning with him. When he was in a mood, everyone tiptoed around and kept their heads down and just prayed that he wouldn't notice us, or we wouldn't have to have direct contact with him. I think this is the reason I found my first white hair at age 22!
