For better prospects, people go to different countries to persue career opportunies. Some go abroad to persue further studies, to places where special fields of specializations are offered. Have you been to another country to achieve those goals ? Or , are you planning to ?

Working in another country can be very exciting and challenging, with many good career opportunities, depending on your line of interest.

When I was 18 years old I worked as a children's nanny in Finland. The family had three children and they lived in a town house for some of the time and a farm house for the rest of the time. Some weekends they lived in their lakeside log cabin. I liked going for a sauna and swimming in the cool lake. The wages were high and let me save much money for traveling around Europe. Then I came home and got work as a container marketing controller in a shipping company.
Two years later I was made redundant and due to the recession it was challenging to find another job. I decided to let my cottage out and get a working holiday visa for Australia. I bought an airline ticket around the world. In Australia I was permitted to work for up to three months per employer. I worked as a children's nanny in Sydney for a family with two children. Then I got a job in Sydney packing paper into handbags. I did some charity collecting for the Wilderness Society in Cairns. When I came back home I did some extra qualifications to be able to do my teacher training. Then I went off to university to do my degree.
Whilst doing my degree I was able to spend one semester studying in a foreign country. I choose the Netherlands and there I lived in a shared house with one Scottish girl, one Dutch girl, two German girls and an English guy. I studied with the post graduate English Literature students and that was fascinating. I was able to study the language and the culture. When I got back to university I still had to do my end of year exams without having been at the lectures for four months. I borrowed lecture notes from friends and passed all of my exams.

Indonesia is a lovely country, indeed, with so many beautiful islands. I was fortunate to have the chance to visit there, Java and Sumatra.

i received this short-term exchange scholarship from my university which allowed me to study in Japan for a year. so i went there and studied Japanese and economics (my major). it was a nice experience:)
prices were stupendous. luckily, i had another scholarship for financial support which helped me get by. if not for that financial support, i really would have forgone the chance to study there.
