Sleeping

Does anybody find that their migraine attacks come on after sleeping sometimes. Maybe after sleeping too much or getting no sleep. Mine come after sleeping too much and I wonder about setting an alarm even during days when I don't have to wake up early to see if it makes them better. Has this helped you?

I also used to get head aches after sleeping for too long, but the headaches were light and eventually disappeared half-way throughout the day. I think I also use to get head-aches because I use to put my head in a weird position on the pillow. I got neck pains and headaches, but after I fixed my head position, the aches and pains disappeared.

Wow, I didn't think that it might be the sleeping position:D I do sleep kind of weird, curled up and sometimes with two pillows or my pillow put high. I didn't think about that, too bad it's hard to control what position I take when I sleep:D I'll try to change my sleeping position.

Sadly I never have the problem of too much sleep. I never get enough sleep. I find it hard to get to sleep if my head is hurting so much that I can't even move because it will end up feeling like someone smacked me on the head with a hammer. Maybe you should try it to see if it helps. It couldn't hurt.

That happens to me ALOT. I can be fine, and I'll go to take a nap, or sleep longer than I would normally, and when I wake up, BAMMMMM, migraine comes out of no where. I so hate it ! I tried the whole alarm thing, it never woked for me. When I'm over tired I don't hear the alarm. Maybe it'll work for you, everyone's body has a different reaction to things

Yes I have them sometimes when I wake up it happens alot if someone wakes me up and I am dreaming then it is real bad. Also when I wake up I have them if my sleep was not restful. I am still trying to figure out how to stop them. Good luck on getting it under control.
