Is VVS Laxman the most reliable batsman in Test for India?

Yes he is one of the reliable batsman for test in India. But he is not the only one. It was total team effort that let to India's win. Sehwag knock in first innings, Zaheer 5 wicket haul, Sachin contribution in both the innings and Ishant Sharma's partnership with VVS Laxman all togeather made India win. Although Laxman average against Australia is getting better day by day. He is giving Australian players sleepless nights.

I abide by you mate. Whenever our teams wall is against the wall VVS rises to the occasion. To me he who sustains enormous pressure and performs under it is great. VVS fits into this scenario not only today plenty of times before. Kolkata in 2001 is the best innings ever. He along with Dravid turned the match on its head.

The point with Laxman over the years is that he has been such an elegant batsman. Whenever he is in the crease he looks elegant and then suddenly would lose his wicket and go. Now he has started to curb on that instinct of his and that is why he has suddenly become such a colossal figure in the Indian line up. I will still not say that he has been the most reliable batsman for India as the Little Master's record over the last year is still much better. But I would definitely say that he has now donned the mantle of the finisher in the test matches and he is the best with playing with tail enders. Cheers! Ram

Not only for today but always laxman is the most reliable bastman,he is also a very technical and stylish batsman and his most innings has been contributing to team in critical situations,he is always no.1 for me.

VVS is really very very special...you can safely bet on him that he would do the job for you but no one is 100% there always...but he has the nag of being the maximum times for you and yes he is reliable batsman to have in your team especially if it is against the Australian..he does love to play against them and no one can beat him in that regards...hats off to him for the way he shaped the win for India alongwith Ishant Sharma...Congratulations to them..

Of course there is no any doubt that Laxman is the most reliable batsman of India. Because today as he play it was a fantastic and miracle innings from them. Because Laxman record always very well done against Australia. So we can't ignore Laxman because Laxman is always a very very special for India.
