what do you think of unnecessary packaging?

Sometimes we will be attracted by the packaging of the products.But unnecessary packaging is harmful to the evironment.What actions can we take for addressing this issue ?What can we customers do ?What can the manufactors do ?What about the government? Hope to see your opinions!
