Have you ever taken a trip for self discovery like in the book,"Eat,Pray,Love"?

I am really excited to watch the Julia Roberts Movie, Eat Pray Love. The movie is based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert where the author took a year off for a journey of self discovery that took her around the world in particular, Italy, India and Indonesia. She just dropped everything and took that year off to Eat, Pray and Love across the world. I love to travel and how I wish I had the luxury to have the money for a trip like that. How about you? Have you ever taken a trip for self discovery?

I am really excited now that I have heard of that movie called Eat, Pray and Love. I guess it will come to the movies in my home country later this year. Then I will be able to watch it.
When I was 20 years old I took off on a trip around the world. To afford to be able to do it I let out my cottage and got a working holiday visa for Australia. I visited California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. On that trip I developed my patience and learned more about the world's people.

Wow! I am 25 now and the farthest that I have gone for a trip was in Singapore which is very near my country, The Philippines. After my first trip abroad last year, I decided to have an out of the country trip every year and I also plan to make every trip a self-discovery tip like in Eat Pray Love.
