In my opinion I say no they shouldn't allow contacts at FaceBook or any other site for that matter to suggest a live meeting place to or between children. I would also like to go as far as to have any one who belongs to these sites to have to submit identity proofs of age and real name, address and have parental lock until parent removes lock. Also every device that can connect to the internet be blocked until proof of adult age is verified. The sad thing is that even as hard as we make it bad people will find a way to overcome obstacles we put in their way ... but maybe we can cut out the lazy and dumber ones.

Parents should point out to children that friendships existed and prospered even before the advent of Facebook and would continue to do so even if Facebook were to collapse tomorrow clueless. While the Internet access could compliment gathering knowledge, the social networking space impedes on it by luring them into mindless chatting and addictive games; so the non-invasive vigilance of parents is essential for the healthy growth of a child, under all the positive influences.
