Why move away when i'm benefiting from the person? That's impractical. It's better for me to keep reaping the benefits until the friendship expires. It's like clark kent's relationship to his former friend lex luther.

Yes, I have had a friend with benefits. We are not in that type of relationship anymore and are still wonderful friends. Do you make a habit out of telling others how to live their lives because if you do all you need to do is worry about your own life.

No. Doing "it" destroys friendships...

The harsh truth is that all relationships in this world are based on selfish motives. We are with someone because we get something from him/her whether it be tangible or intangible. We are all benefactors in one way or another.

Being in this type of relationship requires that both be on the same thinking mode otherwise it absolutely will not work as one will end up hurt. I am assuming this is what your discussion is suggesting and if so I do agree that unless you are ready to accept all the hurt that goes along with it, then yes a person must let go otherwise emotional hurt will continue to take over.

I had this kind of relationship in the past (highschool & even college days). With H.S, I met him with a common friend. We use to be txtmate... He has gf but that time I'm single. With had this special feelings.. Yes! We love each other, but we rather have it w/ no commitment. I know I'm stupid in doing that, but He ensure me that he will make out of it. We do what bf/gf do.. We're happy. I'm free to date anyone... but sometimes He gets mad. same thing, when his w/ gf i get mad also. At first its easy to accept but later part I'm hurting.
