Proud Marine Wife

Today, I was sitting here thinking about my husband of 10 years now. And I reliazed,how proud of him I am. He has been in the Marine Corp for almost 12 years now. He has been to war 3 times now and has come home un-injured each time. Some would call that lucky. I say its because he's very very good at his job and has the best trainning possible. He has lost so many friends overseas and been to so many funerals and has even pulled a small child off his fathers coffin. He loves his country so much he's willing to give his life for it. Or even die for the Marine standing next to him. Even the people who are against the miltary. My two oldest boys if you ask them what do you want to be when you grow up "I want to be just like Daddy." Most people wouldn't be able to live the miltary life. It takes a speacial person to love a miltary man. I hardly ever see my husband, He's usally home around 6pm. Some say thats not late. But you have to understand these men are up at 3,4,5 am. even before the sun comes up. They don't work a 9 to 5 job. I know me personally couldn't get up that early and work 12 hour days and come home play with the kids and help with homework and dinner after that. But he does. I'll never full understand what hes seen or goes through on a daily bases. But I do try to understand. I listen to him when he talk about what its like over there and what he does to train his men for their next 7 month deployment. It's hard when their gone for so long. Because you have to be both the mom and the dad at the sametime. and stay faithful and you have to be his support team when he is gone when something happens. That theirs a reason they joined the Marine Corp. I'm so proud to stand next to him. I am proud to be called his wife. But I just wonder as I'm writing this who else loves this country, Do you stand behind the miltary do you support them and what they stand for. And if you cant think of a reason why you should stand behind them, then do us all a favor that do and stand in front of them.
