Hello wealthymouli, I heard about the ‘masala chaya’ (masala tea) first time in a train journey, when the train reaches in the north side, the people are busy in selling ‘masala chaya’ and I surprised to hear the term ‘masala’. I asked my hubby to get one to know the taste. It was nothing but adding ginger and cardamom. They boiling the tea after putting these ingredients along with the tea powder, sugar and milk for some more time. My suggestion is, take enough water and milk (the proportion you should know) and put sugar, ginger, cardamom (ginger and cardamom should be slightly crushed) and boil it well. Your ‘masala tea’ is ready, according to North Indian style .
