..oh yeah.. we Filipinos would always find means to lessen our expenses yet be able to buy what we want.. Maybe other people would say we are "kuripot", but actually, we just want to maximize the use of our resources.. at least in the bargain sales, we can afford to buy more..

Yeah, i remember my prof told me that he went to Thailand i think and he went to the flea market. He saw something he like and ask the merchant for a discount and the merchant ask him, are you Filipino? So i guess we are known for that.

me and my wife loves going to divisoria and baclaran but we enjoy divisoria than baclaran but we go to baclaran mostly because we got to church. but i can say that not only filipinos like bargain, people around the world wants to buy also cheap but quality items. though i can say that there are also cheap but low quality at the places we mentioned. so we need to spend a lot of time picking and checking.

I think everyone else like great value for their hard-earned money. That being said, it is not just a Filipino trait to try and look for bargains. People in the US also flock to yard sales for bargain buys while those in Europe, particularly the UK, go to car booth sales for great discounts. However, sales often tempt people to spend on something they THINK they need just because an item is tagged ON SALE. I believe a really good practice to really save on money is to buy only what is NECESSARY.

I think this doesnt only apply to Filipinos. Many people want to save money and would go for the cheaper option if there is one. We have "tyange" and "ukay" other countries have flea markets and garage sales. It's the same all over the world. Why pay for more if you can get the same for less?

I think any people in any parts of the world will like bargains if they can find it online or in a usual brick-and-mortal store.
