what rights should a father have if his unmarried girlfriend wants to have an abortion, what is your opinion on this matter ?

None at all. Her body, her choice, end of discussion. He has no right whatsoever to force her to carry a pregnancy she is not ready or willing to.
He has every right to discuss it with her and try to make her understand that he doesn't want her to, but he has no legal rights whatsoever to stop her or force her to have the child. How would you like it if the man had the same right to force a woman to get an abortion when she wants the child and he doesn't?
Furthermore, this goes for all women, all the time, married or unmarried.

Her body, her choice. No one has any right to tell anyone what they can or cannot do with their own body. If a woman does not want to carry a pregnancy, a man has no right whatsoever to fore her to do so. Sorry, but men do not own women.
Like I already said, no one would have any problem if the situation were reversed. If a woman got pregnant and wanted to keep it and the man wanted to force her to have an abortion the whole world would rally around her and tell him he has no right to tell her what to do. Why is it not the same both ways? A woman is only allowed a say in what happens to her own body so long as it involves giving birth? I call bull.

Well, if they are not married and it was not done out of consent then I think the father of the child has no right to stop the girl.
But if it was consented and not forced then I think he has the right.
Why would the girl want to abort the baby? Doesn't she love the father of her unborn child? Didn't the father of the unborn child told the mother that he would support her financially and emotionally? If not, then it would be hard... 
I just hope he could convince his girlfriend not have an abortion...

A father should have the same rights as the mother, except obviously in the case of rape.

A father has the right to resist. Because in the first place, abortion is a sin and it is not allowed in the society. This deviant action must be avoided.And the father has the right to complain, because he's still the father of the child being attempted to abort by the mother.

one probable reason i see to opt for abortion is the inability of the guy who fathered the baby to take responsibility. if he is willing to be the dad, then his opinions are to be considered. however, if he has no plans of recognizing the baby, then it's all up to the girl. she will be bearing the child in her womb anyway even if the guy doesn't want to own up the responsibility.
