According to my teacher in Science High school, Earth travels around the sun once in a year. Do you agree?

Yes, every 365.25 days. It is impossible for the sun to go around the Earth because the Earth has less mass, meaning less gravitational force to attract such huge mass like the sun. You should believe what your teacher says to some extent, that's the point of going to school. They didn't become teachers from being a simple person, they suffered too to learn enough, go through thorough education to ensure everyone what their teaching is true.
