cartoon characters and children's tv characters in positions of power then let's work with this. ok, boris johnson, the cartoon mayor of london, might have been a low point but ed miliband the new(ish) leader of the labour party and very likely future prime minister is clearly not a real boy either. can't we do better? personally i want a government consisting of all wombles. what unreal characters aimed at the under sixes would you choose to run your country?

Did you see the discussion about the election of a clown? I think that we should just have clowns not cartoon characters.
no way. a) we already have that and b) clowns are deeply scary.

my seconf choicebwoud be bug's bunny. A cose thirdbwoudbe Donad Duck and all he does is strut around and quacks. But the long knives are out in his own party so he may be forced to resign. That is a pity as he would be easiy to beat in the next general election

jb hi you olde blue bunny. I vote for the road runner, and tom and jerry and of course that stupid purple dinosaur of the I love you, you love me, we both as happy as can be and on and on yucky. We can have fun running over Elmo or hanging him from the nearest tree, we are happy as can be

NO PURPLE DINOSAURS please. i think the road runner and tom and jerry would be most excellent politicians but we really do not want something from the dungeon dimensions in a position of power. i like your variation on the song though. the road runner could use it.
