John Lennon would have turned 70 today! 70! Wow. I still picture him as a young man with the mop top . Or as the young lover with Yoko.John had drive and some much talent. I wish I could thank him for all the great music he gave us. All I can do is say Happy Birthday John.

Growing up, I think we were just part of the few families that weren't much into the Beatles. My dad had his favorite singers stateside, and all the records we had at home were from his favorites. None for the Beatles.
But, I did learn to appreciate John and his music when I was in college. However late that was. And yes, too bad that he's long gone. He could've still be writing great and relevant music these days.

I was born the year Sgt Pepper came out. I have been playing catch Ever since! Thanks to movies like A Hard Day's Night and Imagine I got a glimpse of how the real John was. Can you imagine what song John would have written about 911 or Katrina?

Wow! To bad John Lennon is not still around! He would be still be writing and singing great songs! To bad his life had to end by a person who lost their sense of reality! I remember John ,not as a Beatle,but as soloist after the Beatles broke up. He was a very talented man!
