Stop Shark Finning - For the sake of our future

For those of you who do not know - Shark finning is the practice of slicing off the shark's fin while the shark is still alive and throwing the rest of its body back to the ocean and wait for it to die in days. Why shark finning ? Well, shark fins is used as the principal ingredient of shark fin soup. Due High demands for this Asian delicacy in China and other in the Far East, traders make a lot of money from shark fin and also the main restaurant owners. Shark fin itself is tasteless, just an ingredient (gelatinous bulk) to add in the flavor and Ten Millions of sharks are slaughtered every year to fulfill demands for shark fin soup. People - 2 sharks has been killed every second so that people can use the fins to make this soup. The consequences of decline shark on ocean life are immense. Twenty species of sharks are listed as endangered by the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Reports were given by fisherman that shark's size are getting smaller due to not given time to mature. The large sharks are the "ecological stabilizer", once they are gone, all hell will break lose. So people, I strongly urge every one of us to do the right thing to stop this killings now. Take it off from menu. Educate our families and friends.

I don't get the idea of using an ingredient without tasted for soups.I am scared of sharks,but I don't condone having their fins sliced and made into soups.I don't eat anything with sharks fin in it.I would rather eat tuna or prawn than eat sharks fin.I used to think that people are afraid of sharks.in reality,in seems that sharks are the ones who are afraid of humans.
