why you have to do OT when you are in a HURRY?

I have OT in my previous job maybe for 2 weeks straight only and then after that, I told my boss I cant do it anymore cause there was no point in doing so. I worked in a company where they dont appreciate everything that you do.

Oh this has happened to me to in the past. Just the day before I had to do the OT, I've already planned all well to have dinner with my younger brother. We haven't see each other for few months even though we both live and work at the same state. It is just that we are both always busy, and he has to travel one hour by bus to get to where I'm staying. So the next day came, and I was looking forward to finish my work at 6pm and go home. But one of the guy at work didn't come up that day. And this guy is suppose to work at the night shift, taking over the morning shift. The other lady who is in a morning shift with me is pregnant. We tried calling and calling and calling this guy, but he turned his phoned off, we also sent him an sms, but no reply. My younger brother sms me and told me that he was already in the city, and at the same time I was told to stay back until 9pm. I was very annoyed, especially when I found out the next day that this guy didn't come to work because his girlfriend came to see him from another state. I felt so sorry for my brother, he did wait then but he was already pissed with me, but to make him happy I paid him a hotel room that night so he doesn't have to go back to his place at night.

It sure happened to me a lot of number of time but I still do it cause it is part of my responsibility to deliver it to the team. Most of the time your work will affect the others so if you will not do it then a lot of people will be affected by it.
