Do you have referrals in Helium?

Helium is a good site. It looks professional, and is able to attract much view. It offers both passive and active income. We can write on a wide type of topics, and we can publish our work without pending. Yet, with so many good things, Helium only offer one referral tool: e-mail. This makes it really hard to get referral as you need the other's e-mail before they can get your referral link. This complicated the things that even my friends are interested, they just cannot wait for the e-mail and simply search online and join without becoming my referral. How many referrals do you have in Helium? Do you know any better ways to get referral in Helium?

As you say, Helium is a very professional site, and I believe that is why they only want referrals from personal emails. In fact, the referral scheme is called 'invite a writer.' Helium relies on its writers inviting other, quality writers to the site. Not everyone can write, and not everyone is able to write to Helium's standards. I think the referral scheme is fine as it is, because Helium is a bit complicated to get used to. If you are referred by an established writer, they're available to help you get to know the site.

i found out about Helium while searching for sites that offer paid writing. I tried to register however it does not allow me as it may not be available here in the Philippines. Sad. :-(

That's really sad. I am also in Philipines. I might crossed out Helium in my lists.

I don't have any at all but I write on there a lot. It's the main writing site I do a lot of work on and able to earn from directly. It also helps when the user is active. I've tried a couple times but no luck but the purpose would be about networking and nothing more. If I can get any, that'd be great but if not, then so be it.

I don't have any referrals for Helium. Honestly I don't really know anyone that I think would be interested. But I do like the site and how it is set up!

I have tried to recruit Helium referrals through discussions here on mylot. If a person is interested in my sucess writing articles through Helium, I get their email in through pm and send an invite. No one has accepted so far though, including my friends from "real life" who are writers! It is a little frustrating, but I love Helium, and make good income from it, even without referrals. Good luck to you!
