Well well well. I think that some people just like to comment without first searching for the facts. Let me tell you all a bit of reality in portuguese football scenery. First of all, political issues (and government involvement currently being investigated by FIFA) had C. Queiroz sent off the coaching position. I am not a Queiroz fan, but then again I am quite demanding in what concerns coaches, but it was completely unfair what they did to him, he is in court now and he will make a few millions because he was unfairly dismissed. The portuguese federation has been, for several years, an incompetent federation, with people being there for about 20 years just taking advantage of the position, we had problems in the Mexico WC, in Japan/Korea WC, etc etc, all with different coaches, and the same people in the federation, so, it becomes obvious that they are not doing a proper work. Besides this, the secretary of state of the portuguese govn't came with personal opinions and interfered in the whole process while this is strictly forbidden by FIFA. Besides, there was no reason to dismiss Queiroz, he corrected the disaster that Scolari was in what concerns the young (under 23, Under 21, Under 19) teams, and brough them all to the WC and EC as they missed all these events while Scolari was there, and also in the South Africa WC he went trough second round with a very bad team (A country that depends only on Ronaldo cannot go far), so I guess he had a hand in the portuguese results and only lost to the World Champions at the WC, so I guess he did more than what most portuguese expected. Now for Paulo Bento, the two previous games, Agostinho Oliveira invented a little bit, the team missed his coach, several players (Deco, Simão, P. Ferreira, Miguel) announced they would not play for the national team anymore, and some of them did so due to the whole process the the Portuguese Football Federation/Government did with the coach just before those games, so the team was playing at the same level they played against Denmark, but they had a crappy defensive performance, they were not concentrated (guilty? FPF and Portuguese Secretary of State for Sports), now, in this game, Denmark never really played, Portugal played enough, with great game from Ronaldo, Moutinho and Nani, when 3 of the most talented players pay a good game it's half way to victory. I still believe that the group is very easy, and Portugal just needs to play average to go trough in first place, but they need concentration and no more extra-football issues. Paulo Bento is not a brilliant coach, and he even had disagreements with some of the national team players before, but I hope he is intelligent enough to keep this away. According to results he needs to work a lot to be better than Queiroz and he is not as good, but in an easy group he sure should bring the team to first place, tomorrow there's another test in Iceland, we'll see.

I haven't seen the game, but I have to say that the last time when this two teams met( in the WC 2010 qualifiers) the game ended 3-4, and Denmark qualified from the first place, Portugal having to go through play-off with Bosnia. If this can be considered a comparison point, then it means that Portugal has evolved from the last meeting between the two teams. I also think that Paulo Bento is better than Queiroz, who was a disaster, he only can be a good assistent, but not a good trainer. I cannot say if Bento will be a good coach or not, but I think that almost everybody is better than Quieroz.

i think portugal and denmark in same level..maybe they can beat each other.. ya, now portugal play better and finish several chances to goal.. i dont think that paulo bento is good coach.. but it`s unfair fo him to evaluate only in 1-2 games...

Honestly speaking, I am not in favour of the portuguese national team. I have never like them and don't think I will. In fact, I would love to see them missing out on Euro 2012. Just like I was hoping that they could not meet the cut for the World Cup finals.
