Parakiss movie!

Oh, I'm so excited!
One of my favorite series is being made into a live action movie; Paradise Kiss!
Well, I'm a bigger fan of the anime (by Ai Yazawa) than the anime version; the anime was pretty weak, I think.
It looks like none of the actors have completely acurate hair colors...but nonetheless I'm excited to see what the movie is like. I don't know when it's being released in Japan or stateside, yet.

That's nice. I watched the anime a couple of years ago, but I didn't know about the movie. To be honest, I don't think I'm going to watch it. For one thing, I prefer to keep the anime/manga & live-action programs that I watch separate. Generally, I'd rather watch an anime of a manga, than a live-action adaption of it. I just enjoy anime more. I'd watch a live-action adaption of a manga if I have never seen the anime before.
The other reason I wouldn't watch the live-action movie is because I just didn't like the anime very much. I mean, I enjoyed watching it, but I didn't think it was so great.

I am really looking forward to this movie, my favorite acgtor (Mukai Osamu) will be playing George. I just hope that they do not change the story too much...

All I can say is that I'm glad that Hollywood didn't get their hands on this project. I am looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. Usually I'm not big on shoujo series but this one was interesting (mostly due to the unique art). I haven't seen the anime though and I don't think I'll see it. I'll just wait to see the movie and then compare it to the manga.
