I would say, working a life time for a house is not living life to the fullest. We should have an affordable and comfortable home. Have a happy and healthy living is utmost important. However, if we do have extra money, buying house at a good location is a good investment. Most tycoon make plenty of money in property in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. I would say that it is important to have a house of our own. Renting a house has its negative points. Instead of paying rental, might as well take the amount of money to pay for our own house installment. At the end of it, we will own the own...

On one hand it seems worth it as then you will no longer ever have to worry about where you will stay. But it seems sad on the other hand to work all your life and all you have to show for it is a house!

I personally have no desire to buy a house. It's just too expensive and too complicated, it's just not worth it. If I ever have an inclination to own a home, I might get a condo, but that's a very big IF.

not really to spend every single cent i have for a house but if it would almost comprise a big chunk of my savings, it's alright with me. i prefer spending that much than having to pay rent monthly (summing up all my payments almost equal to my supposed savings) without owning my own house even after years of paying. at my age, buying my own house is the first thing i have in mind over owning a car. i see it as a preparation to having a family in the near future.

I know that we will buy a house one day.But we prefer to buy a house in the right time. I mean, we don't want to hurry since we are still moving from one country to another for business reasons. And on top of that, we want to buy a house in the place where we think that we want to spend the rest of our life there. So we will take your time, in the meantime we are able to save and collect the money that we probably need to buy a house later.

If you are going to live in the same place for a long time, now is the time to buy a house!!! Investment school of hard knocks will teach you to always buy low and sell high. Prices are low now!! Not only that, many can be talked down off the asking price because there are not alot of buyers. One who buys a house now will find they will gain some nice equity when the economy and prices do come back. Yes, buy LOW and sell High. If only those who bought at the height of the bubble realized that, they would be much better off today.

I would like it if I'm able to buy a house before getting and buying everything else. And yes, one of my purpose for working is actually so I can save up to buy a house. My partner and I decided to put a deposit on our house 3 years ago and so now we have been paying it every month since. But to not make it complicated, we rented out our master bedroom to someone, and he is still renting it until today from the time we got the house. And his rent is actually enough to pay the amount we need to pay every month for the house. So we are quite happy that we can save up for something else like a car with our salary, but we try not to rush it because the most important at the moment is the house. Happy mylotting

Yesss I agree that the prices of properties are sky-rocketing now a days and buying a house has been a distant dream for many people who are in low-middle class category, Some are lucky just to have inherited homes from their parents, while others keeping jumping from one house to onother on rently basis which sucks as its really difficult to keep moving and shifting goods and things, besides getting adjusted to a new surrounding everytime. I would definitely buy a house with my life-time income. House has been a daily necessity for human beings. A self owned shelter gives a feeling of safety and happiness when you return back to it at the end of the day. Besides how many times are you going to shift in 100 houses on rent. The first thing I would do If I have money is to buy a house for myself, other things will keep coming once you know you have a permanant place to keep them. Besides properties will always keep you in profit, never are you going to suffer a loss for buying properties. It is a basic necessity for us. I dream to own a bunglow, no matter if its not in the city, I would just love to have my own big bunglow in serene and peaceful surroundings and I am going to try every inch for it ;)

Um...it depends...In China we can't afford a house before 30 in regular situation.A common house around100 square meters usually cost us more than 2million yuan.($3000000)it's hard for a general family!so,i decide to rent a house for live.that means i have large number of choice to select where i could live, that is unrestricted!

It depends on how important owning a house is to you. Or if you would rather do something else with your money. I think a house is a good investment especially if you want to stay in that city.

I guess most people don't want to spend the income of whole life buying a house. But in reality in many cities especially those metropolises, in order to buy a normal house, only the income of a young man's whole lifetime is not enough, he also need to depend on his parent's whole lifetime income. In order to pay back the mortgage loans, people have to reduce their consumption on other fields, which inevitably reduces the quality of life. I always hear many people say that they have no choice but buying a house. But I think buying a house is just one of the choices instead of the only choice.

To having an own house it is a dream of everyone. And mostly person to spend their all money in their dreams to makes true. I think middle category persons always spend their whole money in their own hose because they have not more money and always earning an average income per months. And also many persons who get loans from banks for making their home.

Yes, I really do want to own my own house, so I am currently saving up for a down payment for one. I do think that houses are extremely expensive these days, which is a real shame, but it has always been my dream to own one, so I want to get one anyway...
