Who normally carries a conversation?

You or the person that you are talking with. I have a lot of friends that like to talk and there are times where I am rather interested in what they have to say. So I just let them go and when they stop long enough to draw a breath, I might slip in a point about what they were saying, whether I agree or disagree. Are you the person who talks a lot in a conversation or are you a person who just sits back and lets the other person just go, while making a point every now and again?

With really quiet people it's me. I'm not really quiet but not always loud and energetic as well. Some people definately talk a lot more than me and I have to take a backseat in that conversation but I still enjoy talking to them. It's great sometimes when I'm interested in them and what they have to say and I like those people. But sometimes it's great to get to talk about myself and share about my life and have someone listen so it's great to have those kind of people around as well. So it depends on what person I'm talking to and my mood aswell.

Indeed, I tend to talk a lot more when people are reserved. However, if a person just wants to go off, then I'll be more than willing to sit back. Of course, it really could depend on the day with me as well. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I prefer to be the listener in conversations. I'm not really good at talking much because sometimes I find myself saying things that can only be understood by me. And besides I'm really not that talkative so I prefer to just be the listener.

It is better to be the listener sometimes. I mean, you really could learn something actually. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
