I just remembered something, there is a saying here in our country "Wag matutulog ng basa ang buhok mo! Lalabo kasi ang mata mo!" in English, "Don't sleep with wet hair, it'll make your eyes blurry". Totally doesn't make sense... But I find it odd that such a weird saying lasted all these years. Any say on this?

Just nothing. Bronchitis people cannot sleep with wet hair, it gives you an attack, I have bronchitis, I have been born with it. But this saying is just nothing.

True, completely agree with you there. Though the mystery here is. How come such saying lived for so long. o_o Just doesn't make any sense.

I think what caused most of these false sayings are our grandmothers trying to scare us into not doing the things they don't want us to. Heck, it's even already a part of our culture that we have all these weird sayings or "pamahiin" that nobody knows where they came from. Like why can't you sweep the floor at night? Or worse, when you're getting married, you can't fit or try on your wedding gown?
