Marseille has now jump onto the bandwagon and take legal action against De Jong. Ben Arfa is on loan to Newcastle from the french club. It is strange that everyone now wants a piece of De Jong and no other managers have spoken up for him. The same cannot be said when Wenger was slamming Shawcross for breaking Ramsey's leg.

I think the problem with De Jong is that he is repeat offender. He has done it in the sight of the whole world during the world cup 2010. The kung fu kick on Alonso during the World cup final is seen by many as a stamp on the legacy of Cryuff on Dutch football. And the point is he does not seem to learn from that and simply seems to go about hurting people. I would definitely not mind him not being on the football field. He will be a big hit in WWE. Cheers! That is a good idea when De Jong decided to hang up his boots. And he can be use that he will not risk the wrath when he perform a kung fu kick.

Football is a contact sport played by strong players, and because there are lots on stake in every game, injuries will happen. De Jong's tackle looks a lot more decent than the tackles Ramsey or Eduardo have suffered. Technically he hasn't made a foul when injuring Ben Arfa, but it was a bit unlucky. In the past if you made a tackle and first touched the ball and then the leg of the opponent, it was a legal challenge and never given a foul, even if the other one got injured. I think that if Marseille sues de Jong and wins, football will suffer a lot. Every time when a player will be injured, the other player will always be sued. Football will become a P*ssy sport and not a competitive one. Of course, players who deliberately injure other players have to be punished, but de Jong has made a fair tackle, but with unlucky outcome.

While law will definitely spoil the games, but if the respective FA is not going to do anything, then the game will go downhill as well.

Just what we need. All this while people keep saying that Arsene Wenger act like cry baby. But now everybody slam De Jong and all of them are saints of the beautiful game. The media is such a crap and I hate English pundits. It seems that they hate Arsenal no matter what and I don't think even if Arsenal fielding 11 English players will make pundit like Arsenal because the hate Arsenal and try to take opportunity to make Arsenal down. I hope the next leg that going to be broken is the spoil English players so the FA will take some action regarding the dangerous tackle.

Exactly. Whatever he does or say, the media will have something to add. While I do not wish to see another player having his leg broken, but the FA will indeed not act unless it is the leg of Rooney.
