Who Loves & Owns A Pitbull? Why Did You Pick This Breed?

For a lot of years I have been seeing time and time again pitbulls in the news. It even got so bad here where I live in Ontario where they banned the breed in 2005 and made it illegal to own or breed them. I understand the fears surrounded by the dog but 9 times out of 10 its the owners that have made the dog vicious or that was responsible for letting the dog attack someone or something. I have been a proud owner of a pitbull since the ban on the breed and now the ban has been lifted and my dog is now free to walk in public on her chain and muzzle safe from being taken away. My question is simple and easy. I just want to know how many pitbull overs are out there and why you picked this certain breed? For me its their loyalty, love, respect and looks that made me fall in love with the breed.

Pitbull are very cute especially puppies. I dont want a dog they are to much work for me. The chiropractor I go to has a home office. She allows her pitbull in the office with her and her patients. The dog is very sweet but like any dog it worries me around little kids. My son is almost 3 and about right level with a dogs face. I wish she didnt have it in her office. What if we were allergic to dogs it would have been nice to now when I made my appointment that when we walked in there would be a big dog in the office the whole time.

Aww its always nice to hear stories about other pitbulls and their owners. When I first got my pitty I was nervous as well when my new born niece was around but I noticed my dog after smelling her once kind of steered clear of her. It was like she knew the baby was fragile or something!lol To this day I have had her for almost 7 years and she has never bitten at any person or animal. Your right though you shouldn't trust dogs around small kids.
