Recently I have seen some information about traveling to Burma. Last year only about six thousand British people traveled to Burma. It is a destination that people must have a visa for. How would you feel about visiting Burma?

Burmese are very sweet people, I had a neighboring family from Burma, I was a school boy then, I think I had a crush on one of the Burmese girl. I used to dream of marrying that Burmese girl and enjoying the nature of Burma with her.

Hi maximax8, it's a shame that I hadn't visited Burma the time when having my trip to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam few years back. Some of our trip members didn't have sufficient time to move further to Burma which was so near to the places we had visited. We needed to apply for visa as well paying visit to the mentioned three countries. We just had to pay the required amount of expenses to the local tour agent to get the visa. The three countries we had visited had the similar lifestyle. One thing that got us nuts was the value of the local currency there were really small. all of us were millionaire at that time. We even needed a small plastic to keep the thick pack of currency We had to pay a few thousands of local currency to visit the toilet available in the tourist sites. Yeah, I would like to visit Burma if I have opportunity for I like travelling to places which I haven't been before. It's a great fun to watch fascinating and different landscapes as well as to learn the local culture, lifestyle, etc of any foreign countries. Happy posting

Hi Maximax, I am not much aware of the options that Burma (or Myannmar, as it is currently known as ) offers to tourists. From what I know, there are a lot of cultural similarities between India and Burma. Historically, both were under English rule, till World War II, when Burma was occupied by Japan. However, if there are some interesting destinations, I might go there for a few days.

Little is known about this country even in ours. Even they are an ASEAN nation, we too must apply for a visa upon entry. Even with this condition, I would love to go there. So much to discover, so much to share with the others.
