Sometimes, a lot of people think working as a airplane stewardess is a job which the most fun and most prestigious.
Apparently, behind an attractive appearance them, worked as a airplane stewardess is always not fun. Imagine, they must always be vigilant to serve the passengers during the flight. If they want break in flight, their break done in an upright position as in the picture that I include in this posting
imagine, sleeping in an upright position, anywhere, certainly not fun

I have seen where the stewardesses have to sit when they rest. It is a row of seats right at the back of the plane. It doesn't look at all comfortable for sleeping. There isn't very much room on a plane. Yes, they sleep in an upright position which doesn't sound at all comfortable. They have to give out tea or coffee plus soft drinks to all the passengers. They must give the passenger food to eat. They have to sell duty free to the passengers. A long haul flight must be very tiring like Los Angeles to London overnight. Then the stewardess would spend a few days in London. On a short haul flight the stewardess might fly for four hours and then come back on a flight in two days time. Therefore she wouldn't get much rest. Their feet and legs must ache when on their feet all day every day. I travel for leisure reasons and see lots more than stewardesses do.

I have taken short and long flights on different airlines. I always admire the services of the cabin crew. I never demand or put pressure on them because I know all the while that their job is never easy. I know they always try to do their best to give the best service they can to the passengers. The job may be very well paying, but it certainly is hard earning.
Best wishes to all the cabin crews !

hi advoikaku I dont know, I can fall asleeep in an easy chair
in the activity room with people talking loudly and the
television blaring away; so maybe the stewardesses do not
have it so bad after all.

I saw the picture of the sleeping flight attendant. Poor girl she might be sacked for sleeping while on duty. Indeed behind the prestige and attractiveness of being a flight attendant lies the not so easy task of keeping yourself smart, alert and physically in shape especially in every flight that they take. Aside from that, their work is very exposed to risks and danger as every time the plane is airborne, the plane crew and its passengers is somehow to some extent exposed to danger. :D There's also some not so good reputation about flight attendants who have relationships with pilots...some are legitimate relationships but unfortunately some are illicit love affairs.

yes, it's not a secret anymore, sometimes between the pilots and flight attendants have a forbidden love.
