The best felling is when elections is over. Its so quiet after around. TV doesnt show numerous promotional ads, radio plays only cultural discussions or music and on city streets posters removed. It is so relieved feeling now. My country choosed those who will lead us the next four years and now we can only watch, wait and pray for they mind to be clear and they work well. Some squabbles there still is going on the government formation, cabinet and political parties who will lead it.
This year was somehow strange for me since i voted for minor party which even could not get over 5% barrier and won party which is already ruling party. I our country current crysis situation majority of voters doesnt think that anyone else could do something different from existing government works.
How about your country? How soon is the elections?

i know the feeling. we had our elections back in may and it was ridiculous. yes, we had all the annoying political gumph. i used the leaflets as rat bedding. also the satire shows i like to watch had to be careful not to be seen as partisan so weren't as sharp as usual and you had endless boring programs on the radio. it was dismal. mind you the result was even more dismal but at least it is over for now.

Sometimes its hard to understand why they are spending such a lot of money into these stupid campaigns. that money they spends is worth billions of dollars i think and i would suggest them better share it with the rest people, give to church or the best way would be donating to charity!
I hope someday governments around the world will ban pre-election campaigns!

wouldn't that be nice? they can limit what they do to explaining their policies on a website and a few interviews with the media, where they do NOT get to choose the questions. i think i'd probably keep the televised debates too. you can always choose not to watch them. however the endless leaflets, posters, canvassing and what not is a waste of time and money.
