Do you think it is good that India is hosting the Commonwealth Games?

Hi Paul, Yes, It is really great that India is hosting the CWG. Why? Good Question and I love such a place like mylot for enabling me to reply and post my views. Here is why - The games have brought many chances for scams and that means a handful of extra income for many. Economy is good. Many International leaders(players) withdrew from the games - the good thing is that Indian participants got greater chances to win and they in fact have won many more than would have been possible if all had participated. The Plus point - it would act as a balm to the always behind Indian Sportsperson and that is not all, they would also mint money as their state governments, local sports associations would praise them and gift them tons of money, food, luxuries etc. This would also be an opportunity for these local agencies and politicians to make monetary and political gains. the foreign people may be feeling good, but what is the use in hosting such a big event without solving the isuue of the ppor people who suffer in our nation. on the way to the stadium of CWG, the road sides were fully covered with huge flux boards of CWG, and in a tv they showed the slums behind it. indian government brilliantly hided the slums in delhi by huge flux boards but we cant hide the facts

Well our country got mess up first but cached up latter with time.I think we need more experience in hosting such a events.Olympic is too big even to host.I dont think so we should host Olympic games in near future.

Yes there is no any doubt because now 10 days are past and commonwealth game continues without any problem. So now I think India is able to hosts any game in country.

I would definitely like to support the Delhi sprit in ability to organize the CWG although there might be slippages on many infrastructure projects, would be kind of chaotic situation for the officials to host the games. But still let's give it a thought which other country wouldn't have problem in hosting such games. By hosting such big events, it will bring in more opportunities, more revenue for the country. If West Indies is capable of hosting cricket world cup the Delhi is much better than that.
