With its reputation in the community for its a "scary" house, would you still consider buying it?

it will depend on the place where the house is situated. if i think that i have no communication problem by living in that house, then okay. i am a daredevil. no ghost..... i am the most terrible ghost in the world.

Few strong willed individual like yourself are so practical about it. I'm pretty sure you get big discount from the seller.

Well.. I might buy it, I think it would be hard to live in though. Maybe fix it up some and rent it? Would I have to tell my tenants that it's haunted? :D Maybe I would find a tenant that likes the supernatural and trying to connect with the spiritual world. They would probably enjoy living there. I think just the thought of it being haunted put in my head would make it hard to live in. Especially at night alone, every little noise would make me tense up. When I was young I was always drawn to scary places that gave me that eerie feeling. I never went into them, except the old barn on my grand parents farm, but they always got my mind wondering. Creepy. :)

Some people enjoying chasing or hunting spirits and ghosts, living in such a place for them might be of a good idea but for me and you doesnt work it that way. Thanks for sharing your story too, indeed very creepy.

It would really depend on how "haunted" looking the house is and my need/purpose for buying it. If for some reason I need to buy that specific house, then Id consider the surroundings. Also, if ever I do plan to actually buy the house then Im just gonna have to take measures like bringing a priest to bless it so that the souls in there could find peace. If there isnt a need to buy the house, I would think of visiting it. Im adventurous that way but living in it would not be an option. Still would be fun to spend a night or two just to get the authentic feel of a real "haunted house", as they say.^_^

LOL that's quite true. Why try to live in some place that people and you yourself might oppose. Surely, there must be someplace else that would be a more fitting home for you, right? You're welcome.^_^

I never did spend a haunted house myself, and I don't have plans of doing so. A priest blessing a haunted house is a good option, and its always best not to live a house like that, thanks for the thoughts.

The haunted house usually sell with a cheap prices, of course it should be a consider, but you must see it first, and value them, are they really annoying the people who live in the house or not, if they are only can be look by us and not annoying us just let it be, maybe they just want to make the people at the house know, that they live in the same house

Does that mean that you would buy it ?

Honestly, I wouldn't. If ever I'll purchase a house, I have to make sure that on the latter part, I can consider it as a home. As much as possible, I would want my house to be presentable and inviting.

You're right, and to add it up, you can have a lot of good memories with your family without fear.

No! I would never go for a house which has such a bad recognition. During my childhood I visited one of our relatives' house! And I experienced something uncanny! Since then, I believe there are certain elements beyond our understanding and explanation. So, it is better not to buy such properties.

I also a believer of unwanted spirits such as ghosts and also I believe that some of them are harmful, hence, buying a haunted house is a big risk, I don't even want to take that risk. Thanks for dropping by.

It depends on the reason for doing so. If I'm going to open a Haunted House for entertainment purposes, then perhaps. However, if I'm going to buy that for my family to live in, that would be insane! I think I wouldn't want to risk my life, my family's life and sanity for a house that could be just better of demolished.

I wouldn't no matter how cheap the place might be. I get scared easily so I don't think I can handle living in a house that has a reputation of being haunted. It would be too nerve racking. I'm spooked enough whenever the wind blows a door shut or something like that in my house right now.

Like you I couldnt stand a single moment in a place where I feel like my hairs are raising and the hairs in my skin like crawling, much more in a haunted house. Its a NO No for me as well.

No, i won't. I do not think i will risk my family and I for these crappy things. Even though there is no proof about it, but i believe there must be a reason why people say it is haunted. I don't think it is worth to spend on things which may affect the safety of me myself and my loved ones.

IF I have lots of extra money, then I wouldn't mind buying one! But I wouldn't want to live there. I want a house where I can relax, not a house where I will be spooked out all the time . Might as well make it a tourist attraction and earn from it.

Why not ? Its a good investment for people to witness and explore a real haunted house while you are generating profit on it! Nice choice.

No, I'll never buy a house that is said to be haunted neither consider buying it. A house must be able to provide a calm and relaxing ambiance. But I'll consider that house for ghost hunting purposes. I never seen a ghost in my entire life, that's why if possible I like to do ghost hunting with my friends.

Neither do I buy it. I'm not so much interested either in ghost hunting because ofttimes, it will just be manipulated by evil spirits or that sort. My friends once invited me for a ghost hunt but I refuse to go neither had any plans of going. Anyway, they say its a different experience, try it your self then! Good luck.

No, I won't buy a house that is known to be a haunted house. It's a waste of money for me since I wouldn't want to live in there because I'm really scared. And even if I'll use it for business such as a house rent, I think people would also heard the news that it is haunted and would not want to live there as well.

Small chances for a house like that for a rental or buyer, like you I wont bother buying it as well.

Eeks!Ah, I don't think so because it would drive me nuts, well, nuttier then I am now anyhow. Every little squeak or screech would have me freaking out. Even if I tried to convince myself it wasn't a ghost or that it was just the house settling, There is just about knowing would eventually have me packing my bags and out of there..if I even gave myself time to pack. So, I figure the best action would to save myself the trouble and stay far far far away from haunted houses. Unless to visit..it is more exciting when it isn't your own home experiencing all the drama..lol

Hi, torchablazed. Nope. I would never purchase it at all. If it has a reputation of being haunted, I am not going to try to test the waters of this haunted house. I am not that brave enough to do so. Now, however, if I can have at least 20 people that's living in this house, I would reconsider staying in this haunted house. I don't want to be alone at all in a house that is this spooky.

I might...If it were getting foreclosed and got it for a super cheap deal. AND THEN! I might sub-lease it out to some sucker for a little bit..And perhaps open my own business - because it was a reknowned "haunted" house! How about it?

I wouldn't. I don't really want to risk all my money to live with many ghosts around and have them disturb my kitchen, living room, furniture, kids, toilet, bathroom, and disturb my sleep too I would rather spend my money to buy a cool house where I can relax and full of peace lol, a house that I can happily go home to when I finish work, then where I can invite my friends to come and have dinner together maybe. But with ghosts I don't think I can do all that and I'm sure my life will be miserable everyday haha!
