Having coffee while posting discussions...

I always get up at 10 in the morning, then I'll open my laptop and log in to mylot. I'm in front of the computer reading and responding to discussion almost 4 to 6 hours everyday. Since, I've discovered the site I got addicted to coffee, I'm having six serving of coffee each day, compare to my one serving of coffee before.I don't know but coffee makes my mind works. But maybe I'll substitute it with another kind of beverage before it cause me some health issue. How about you, what else do you do while posting discussions?

I also have coffee while I'm in front of the computer on a side table so that I don't spill it on the computer should I accidently bump it over. I like to play farmville in between or read my e-mails while I wait between posts. The TV also plays in the background, actually in the lounge (I work in my bedroom). I used to listen to the radio, but I got distracted by the music or the discussions.

You're right, anything in excess is bad. I actually don't drink black coffee, milk and sugar please. Good luck with the tee.

Hi there nero, I started drinking coffee when I was about 12. I was just a skinny, lanky girl and I over-heard my gram tell my mom that she wished she'd never started drinking coffee because now her boobs were so big and she hated them. Light bulbs went off in my little head. I thought (seriously) that drinking coffee would make by boobs grow...give me some curves. I drank so so so much coffee. My love of coffee developed but not my boobs. I get up in the morning and get on here while I drink my coffee also. I usually drink two cups before starting my day. Then I have to up and move and do stuff. I love this place but at just can't sit here for hours. I wish I could but I have to many other things that need doing and so I just take breaks here off and on when I'm able. Anyway...I don't know what ill effects coffee can really have on a person. I'm 54 and have been drinking coffee and lots of it for years and I am really healthy. I haven't missed a days work in years due to illness. I am on here late at night also and I often will have a coffee then too. If there are any real bad side affects from drinking coffee, they are lost on me. I know they tell pregnant women not to drink coffee now where they never used to. I had 4 very healthy, beautiful girls and I drank coffee thru my entire pregnancy. I do drink water in between coffee and lots of that too. I don't think you should worry about your coffee habit but maybe some people may disagree with me on that. I've never had a problem with it.

That's the funniest coffee story I ever heard in my entire life. Maybe now that you are at your 50's,you should be drinking lots of fruit juices and water, instead of coffee. Though coffee contains natural antioxidants too. It's really hard to avoid something you've been doing for so long. Maybe you have an active lifestyle too, that's why coffee doesn't affect your health at all.

You are welcome youless. Chinese do love drinking tea. There are available teas here in the Philippines but the great tasting one's are quite expensive. Most teas here are imported. Anyway, let's go on posting quality discussion. Thank you.

Well, I basically had a food in my table for me to not to forget or skip my meal, I'm in my computer almost the whole day ! I do prepare coffee but only during mornings sometimes I even forget, then the rest of the day would be juice or water. I turn the music on for me not get bored or do some stretching in between working on mylot.

So you really spend most of your day in front of the computer. My t.v. is turned on while doing mylot, music destructs me. I'm more comfortable on glancing on the t.v. screen while thinking what to say.

I normally don't drink coffee, but when I feel I need something to keep my brain going I usually eat sweets, especially sour chewy. Sometimes I have so much sour sweets that my mind goes a bit hyper. I guess it works the same as caffeine.

I don't drink coffee for it causes me to lose sleep - I can't sleep with it. Anyhow, I usually spend about the whole day (more than 12hours) online for work and for leisure. I usually do mylot when I don't have anything to do or when I'm in between things to be done. While doing so, I usually go browse other website and social networking sites or updating my presence here online. Just be careful though, I have seen a lot of broken laptops because of spillage of coffee.

Yes, that's what I'm avoiding, having the coffee spilled on my laptop. It seems that you are stringed on a lot of online jobs, good thing you still have time for leisure. I'm planning to substitute my coffee with tea.

Hi, Definitely no coffee for me while I am doing something in front of my laptop as I am not a coffee lover. I prefer to have a cup of juice or cold drink for my throat,to keep me cool and awake. After sitting in front of my laptop for few hours, I believe my eyes are getting tired and I need to drink something cold and fresh to put me awake. Coffee is too heaty for me and I always feel pain throat after having a cup of thick coffee,of course, once a while drink coffee is fine for me.

Oh, I envy you. How I wish I can also do that while Mylotting.:) It is not that I can't multitask but not when I am busy posting and typing. With the ideas and thoughts flowing freely on my mind, I will soon forget all about my coffee sitting right next to my mouse or keyboard, untouched and cold. It will only be a waste if I insist sipping while Mylotting because this does not work for me. Just like now. I am craving for a hot choco but I am foregoing it first until I am done here. :) The caffeine makes your brain functions more actively, I guess, that's why you seem to have more ideas on mind. It could be addictive so drink in moderation.:)

Hello, eurekafemme,I've just quit from drinking coffee this morning,I'm drinking a chamomile tea instead. I find it hard to sleep coz of much coffee. You should take time to stand up from your computer chair, give yourself a break, have a cup of any refreshing beverage. Happy mylotting!

Six cups of coffee, oh that is quite a lot, Nero[em]glare[/em. For me I take either lemon tea or otherwise green tea. Green tea is really good for a health. I used to take coffee too but I only end up not being able to sleep late at night if I had too much. I wake up earlier than you too in the morning lol, because I have to work on another job, so after I finish work, I always try to spend about 2 to 3 hours on mylot. Enjoy your coffee and happy mylotting

Wow that's a lot of coffee drinking already! Have you exprienced any palpitations? I think you should go slow on the caffein. why not drink tea, especially green tea for a change? You can mix it with lemon and sugar or cream and sugar. They say green tea is more beneficial and does not have as much caffein content in it. Or how about shifting to decaf? But then again, coffee is not really bad per se. It's even rich in anti-oxidants. Whats detrimental to your health is actually the quantity you are consuming. Or to be really safe -- water is it, pure and simple.

Well, coffee is a my favourite drink.I usually get up about 7 am.And I always have a cup of coffee before going to work. It's really refreshing. But if six servings of coffee each day too lot. that isn't good for your health. Sometimes I think if you drink a lot of coffee each day, you will become saturated with coffee. so you should drink less and you also drink kinds of tea as green tea, white tea...That's good. For me, I only spend about 30 minutes each day to discussion in this site when I have free time. I usually online at by night after finishing all work.

I usually have a cup of coffee while doing mylot in the morning, then followed by milk tea afterwards. I avoid drinking a lot of coffee these days as it gives me acid reflux - 2 is my max. I also do some other sites while doing mylot such as readbud, pixprofit and locationary.

To be perfectly honest with I am really new to this site and I am still trying to learn all the little odds and ends. I have heard good things about it, from a few friends so I decided to join. This is actually my first discussion which I will posting on mylot and hope to continue. I am however a member of Toluna and I love posting in discussions, I normally drink coffee at least two cups in the morning, but what I have noticed is that I have been getting very attached to diet pepsi. And while I am disucussing I tend to open two to three cans a day. I don't notice that I am doing this until my down to my last drop and I automatically just reach for the next one. I seriously need to consider another type of drink.

Thank you very much fabsprecious for I'm the first mylot member you've responded. I suggest that you substitute coffee with tea or other health drink. I didn't drink coffee this morning,I'm having a chamomile tea.
