I know most people struggle in saving money, and if anyone is successful in saving money, i know they have surpassed the struggles and finally found a perfect way to save money. On my part, I would like to save atleast 10% of my salary, I would like to make it a must every month but sometimes I missed due to some unexpected expenses. How about you? Do you save money? What is your way of saving money?

Hi BEV I think of myself as a bill so I pay myself every month just like I do my household bills (actually its every two weeks I pay myself ) but I have 100.00 that automatically goes to my savings account on the same date of each month. My husband does the same its hard at times but its necessary I am just thankful that we can do that and yes sometimes things come up and you have to take it out but at least you have it to use . Another thing we did was put ourselves on a household budget and started seeing where extra money was going so we cut back on the things that were wants but not needs such as getting ALL the channels on our cable service we cut that back to a couple premium channels and left the basic channels as they are it saved us 40 bucks a month we cut back on cell phone extras my I have a prepaid one I pay 10 dollars a month for every three months I have to pay about 30 bucks to keep it going he got rid of all the bells and whistles on his phone and downgraded to a simple phone he save around 60 bucks a month There are so ways to save money when you really look at what you spend and where your money is going .. bring lunch from home don't buy from work eat out less, cook at home more ....if you like I can share some more ways as I am still learning myself but you get the picture nowtake the extra money and distribute it elsewhere or put it in a savings

I've been working for almost three years at the moment and I have saved some already. For me having savings is something not to be proud of but something I should be thankful about. Maybe it is God who gave me the skill to save or it is through past experiences that I've learned how to save. Every payday, I already allot a specific amount for my savings. Every time I get my salary I also allot for my church and for the schooling of my siblings. I budget first for the things that I really need. Having some responsibilities helped me save since I have to think for others and not only for myself. It is the greatest lesson I have learned from experience. When I was still in college, I don't have enough money to buy the things I want. That way I wasn't used to buy stuff or to go shopping. I guess I got used to it already that even when I have enough money to buy something, I will just put it aside and wait for a need instead of "a want". Having not enough money when I was in college helped me a lot about the importance of money.

wow! it's a nice experience wrangel...i also dont have enough money when i was still in college, but after graduation and after landing a not so high paying job, i make sure to go shopping atleast once a month. I just thought of giving myself a reward after a month long of hardwork. Today, doing things that i can't afford before just give me satisfaction.

Saving money is a must.. We must learn to budget our income and expenses. One way of saving money is not buy things that you don't really need. Try to live a simple lifestyle...

Since I am young and make quite a bit of money. I save about 30-50% of my paycheck from one job and about 25% of my paycheck form my other job. I am hoping in return that I will get a decent return on it and I won't have to worry about saving so much when I am older. I will continue trying to save as much as I can. Hopefully it will do me good in the long run. Everyone tells me it is good that I am saving young so I think I will be set.

When I was a student, I would buy only the things I NEED so that after a week or two, I would have saved enough money to buy what I WANT. Of course, there's a boundary between WANTS and NEEDS. For example, I saw this cool set of headphones which would look nice on me. Now that's a WANT. The things I NEED are food (obviously), clothes, shelter (already have that covered) and any other necessities. Now that I'm already working, I save money by putting only enough moneny in my wallet. And by ENOUGH, I mean that amount which covers my transportation and food expenses for the day.

I have already worked for almost three years. Generally I will try to save some money every month. But there are so many unexpected happenings that I can just keep a little in account.

Two things I make sure to save money. No. 1 : not to spend money on things which are not absolutely necessary or essential. I would think very carefull before spending on an item or a plan. No. 2 : not to waste utilities, electricity, water, in the house. I would not keep on the lights in the places where I am not using except security lights. That saves a lot of money with the utility rates rising all the time.

For me, I saved money because I have a goal to reach. If you are up to something, you need to have it as your motivation to reach that certain goal, it's like when your getting married or for emergency cases. Who know's when that time comes no one can easily give you money for it. Sometimes people are so greedy and selfish. Who's to blame? None. WHy? because they earned it and saved it for themselves, it's up to them if they want to lend it to you or not, it's their choice so don't get offended if they won't. Bottom line is, you saved something for yourself and other's will follow. THat's what I learned from my current boyfriend who really push me to saved and thank God I did.

I'm a full time student and part time employee. i only have about 2 major bills. which includes my car payments and my small/store credit cards bills. but as of lately, i've been saving money. its been a long time since i've actually went full blown shopping. i might pick up things here and there, but nothing major. so the ways i'm saving money is. putting my online earnings in a spearate bank account and paying for bill that way. and using my part time earning. (money i make away from home) on my major bill like my car payments. so cutting back on eating out, the movies, and shopping were my major ways of saving money.

First I should simply eliminate my debt. This is the fastest way to free up money: once the money is freed from debt payment, it can esaily be re-purposed to savings. Plus the sooner I pay off debt, the less interest I'll pay, and that money can be saved instead.

I've never been good at saving money. I suppose that I don't earn enough. And now all the prices are up so my salary finishes before the next payput day:)) I think that the best way to save is to invest your money.

since i'm still a student, my way of saving money is from my allowance. sometimes, the money i saved would be gone in just a flash when i spend it on something...
