How to close the Discussion in Mylot

I am seeing that discussion are going on for 3-4 months even for 1 year also. I want to know how to close the discussion in mylot.... DO anybody knows this......

As per the myLot guidelines it specifically says that the discussions are never closed, not only are they used here but other sites as well. Just because we choose a best response they never close and as a matter of fact you see the url above this discussion if you change it to =3, you will see it is the first post ever which was not deleted as number 1 and two were. I have seen many discussion form like 4 years ago where members have discussed them recently so just so you know even if you left myLot the discussion is still open for anyone to respond.
One of the members above says for you to ask admin to delete it. I want you to know that yes you can do that however there goes the earnings as well.

true! hardworkinggurl had explained it very well. when you want to finish your discussion like one member told you to hit the ! sign then your earnings will be deducted when your discussion get deleted, as well plus the people who joined in at your discussion they will be deducted as well. then there is no more use of you starting if you want to finish it. so no use dont get bothered about filling up discussions we all have that too.

But I dont want to delete the discussion. UI just want to close teh discussion as the discussion was about some future prospect of a match or person or country which is already over. Then there is no use of that discussion. So, there should be one option to close the discussion, but not delete..........

Are you saying correct, admin will deduct the earnings also if we delete the discussion using admin. Have you ever tried it. or how would you know about this...........

can you give me a reason why you need to close a discussion? all the discussion here anybody can get something out of it. what ever interest may it be from. mylot is a good site to learn and old discussions are open so that new members can still learn out from it. i am a member for three years now and i know there are new members who learn from old discussions.

Lets take a example, I started a discussion about India vs Australia cricket series. Now as series is completed. Then what is the use of that discussion. Let us close these type of CRs.
