Does anyone have any idea of how to use checkpoint apps on your smart phone?

For those who might not know about checkpoints.com, you might find it useful and quite rewarding when you go shopping at the retail stores. You don't have to really shop to earn points for your reward, you simply download that checkpoint application to your smart phone, or iPhone to take a picture of the items you interest in, or you even scan the items. If you didn't make any purchase, you can still earn points for later rewards, such as gift card of your pick. So, what do you think of it?

I've heard of other apps that'll do a shopping comparison for you when you upload a barcode from the item you're interested in..getting points even if you don't buy seems like a good incentive for the scheme,though...must see if it's available for Me..

I thought checkpoints was for iphone only, or at least so far. I don't think it works for any smart phone. I have blackberry bold 9700 & I don't think it will work on mine. Basically, the app allows your phone to scan the bar code & be uploaded to their database or their featured merchandise barcode will download to your phone & everytime you scan something that matches their featured items, they will give you points. That's my understanding of it.
