Is it the problem with the speed of internet, or the uploading speed

I recently have Clearwire, and it seems running pretty fast for the first couple of days. After a week of observation or so, it seems the speed slowing down, and I do not satisfy with it. I base on this assumption on the downloading speed, because I do make some downloads from time to time. It seems the downloading speed slow quite a lot, and I don't know whether it is the speed they provide is lessen, or other reasons. Would it be possible the people who uploading files slowing down on the other side? Does anyone know?

Would I get virus attack once I download this software you want me to download? I don't want my PC to be harmed again. That is scary, and I got the whole system running like snail.

Apart from all the comments, which are quite good,you can try to have a "ping",software installed.ISPs cut of a connection after sometime,generally.The ping software reconnects with the ISO.These are free to download,and you can use a search engine to find them on the net.
And do contact the ISP provided and see what he/she has to say.

Could be three things:
1.) It's could be the speed of the internet.
2.) Do you clean your computer after going on the internet by clearing your cookies and doing a Disk Cleanup?
3.) From so much downloading you could have a virus or a trojan on your computer. I hope you have an antivirus and an antispyware program on your computer.
If you don't have an antivirus program, you can download Avast antivirus or AVG antivirus program for free and do a scan.
If you do have an anitvirus program and it also comes with an antispyware with it, I recommend you to download Malwarebytes and Superantispyware for free. I say download both since both are the best and sometimes what Malwarebytes doesn't pick up, Superantispyware does and vice versa. So download those two and do a scan.

Normally speed of internet vary for different reason. How much the site/ server is busy is also another factor on this regard. More over the speed of the internet we can't get as the provider claim to be. And the upload and download speed is different then the internet surfing bandwidth.
