Boracay is still my best beach in the world and I really encourage people to go there. The sand is like nowhere else. The place is just breathtaking. Panglao is also nice and probably better if you want more privacy. So what beaches have you been to lately?

beach - Beach in Cebu Philippines
I have never been to other beaches than Cebu's beaches and Panglao..and i should say Panglao really has a very fine and white sand. The water is a bit cool as well. Bora is also nice but my sister who have already been there said it's a bit too crowded already and sometimes the water gets too dirty when there are a lot of people especially during peek season. I should say that being a Cebuana, I am very proud of our own beaches here. Some of it are not yet fully developed but the beaches are really nice and very relaxing. We also have our little Bora here..white sand and very clean water. And one of the best resorts i wanted to visit is the sumilion blue water..it's in an island here in the southern part of Cebu.

I have been to the Philippines once, but only to the City of Manila, metro Manila. No doubt at all, I was very impressed with the city. The people were very friendly too. I did not have the chance to go out to the beaches. A friend of mine did tell me that there are beautiful beaches in the Philippines. Hopefully next time I come, I will have the chance.

I love Manila and I think it's nice but every once in a while, I feel the city's too crowded. You should visit some beaches and other provinces next time you visit Philippines :)

I live close to a beach in my home country. It is a sandy beach but swimming isn't possible due to sinking mud and a dangerous tide. There are so lovely views of two little islands off shore. This summer I traveled to Canada and I liked English Bay most of all in Vancouver. I haven't yet been to the Philippines but it is near to the top of my travel wish list. I have bought a travel guide book on the Philippines. It says that Boracay is a has very beautiful beaches but it quite touristy. I will have to look up what it says about Panglao. In 2004 I visited the Seychelles and I loved the stunning looking beaches on La Digue Island. They have white sand, gray rocks and green palm trees. The ocean is calm with delightfully clear water. Then in 2005 I visited the Maldives and it is perfect for small tropical islands with pretty looking beaches.

If you prefer less crowded beaches, then Panglao is perfect for you. Maldives sounds nice. Thanks for sharing :)

I have been to many beaches here in the Philippines and I would have to disagree with you because I have seen a better beach than Boracay in El Nido Palawan. El Nido is really my favorite destination and a world class one as well. Many foreign tourist even say that El Nido is even better than the Maldives so I really suggest you visit El Nido, in particular Miniloc Island and see for yourself if Boracay is truly better.

I like Boracay too. But if I'm going to decide where to spend my vacation, I would rather prefer to go back to Palawan and go to El Nido. Boracay is well very well-known not really because they have white beaches, but also because there's a lot of artist going there thats why people really wanted or has an urged to go there. Boracay is not really the best, its only one one of the best beaches that we have in the Philippines. How about Camiguin Islands and etc.

Yup, Boracay still would be one of the best beaches here. But if you don't like crowded beaches, there are still plenty to choose from. One is at General Santos in Mindanao. The name of the beach is Gumasa Beach. It is like Boracay but less the resort and the crowd. Another one is in Bicol, the Calaguas Island. A perfect island paradise like Boracay. The difference is that it has not been touched by the outside world. No resort, no establishments and there is no electricity. Island in the Busuanga group of Islands has lot of perfect white sand beaches to offer waiting to be explored. Panglao Island also is nice but it is getting quite crowded there also. Balesin Island in Quezon also boasts of a coastline similar to Boracay. I have heard one such island in Samar but I still have to verify.

Sounds beautiful. I haven't been to a beach in a very, very long time. I live in the desert, so there's only man made lakes around me. They are still nice, but nothing compared to a nice ocean view. The last time I was even on a beach was almost 3 years ago, at Laguna Beach. It was very pretty. :)

Beaches and Island for me the best is the Hundred Island in Pangasinan and the Beach in Batangas. But I do agree with you regarding Boracay beach I have seen that already in TV and it's really awesome. I am also recommending other beaches in the philippines especially somewhere in Pangasinan.
