How many times or video you watch in youtube daily?

Me I use the Internet daily and spent minimum of 4hours. Some doing course work and the rest spent on watching videos at youtube. However there is a question which is disturbing me since a long time. Can we get virus from the video in youtube. I watch many youtube video and download some. After my pc was broken, now I want to make sure it dont get infected again. Do youtube videos contain viruses? what do you think? I remember before, I used the Internet for clicking ads at PTC websites , watching videos at youtube, so how my pc got infected? and do you download videos from zshare website which every time have this message on the pages, "congrats you have won..." ? and is it infected?
