These days, disposial products often hit the headlines of newspapers and have been brought into focus of the public. Indeed, it is widely accepted that they have gained increasing popularity among people in all walks of life. Taking a look around of us, we can find too many examples in our society. Plastic bags, plastic bottles and waste paper are thrown everywhere. What's your opinion on this topic?

Hi xtmlove, My wife and I started using cloth bags more than a year age and if we do have a plastic bag now and than, we always reuse them. I hate it when I see plastic bags, bottles etc. being thrown around. Isn't anyone thinking about our children and grandchildren's future? Blessings.

Thanks for your comment. I think that you've done a good job for us. If more and more people realize the poulltion caused by plastic bags, they will do what you have done. Please keep this good habit all the time. Thanks.

Plastic bags are so convenient for carrying purposes that is. I do like the idea of the recycleable cloth bags, but wish they were a bit cheaper and or stronger though. I do re-use my plastics as much as I can as I believe this contributes to the make it greener world, however there are something you just can't re-use, so I am all for making it a better and greener world but it seems a bit on the expensive side.

You've done a good job! I think this must be a long time to fight against with plastic bags. After all, they are very convenient for people to carrying something. All of us need to put into practice.

everyone prefer the easy life, and all these disposable things make our life more easy and convinent. what we would do without all these convinent things? but we do pay much for these things. we try to comfort ourselves that these things can be disposed by our mighty nature. in fact we abuse the nature, we will get what we deserve. this is the rule. if we care nothing about our future generations, we could just use as many disposable bags as we can. but can we?

Of course it's necessary and good to re-use as much as possible, recycle, and eliminate waste - throwing things away just adds to landfills. I can't say I live 100% by this rule or idea, but I try to recycle when I can!

I can't believe there are people out there who don't reuse plastic bags! Why do people go out and buy plastic bags for garbage, yard waste, etc, when they carry their groceries home in plastic bags? Also, it is not hard to get a water bottle and refill it at water fountains. Not only does it save the planet from waste plastic, but it saves you a lot of money! Bottled water is more expensive by the gallon than gasoline in North America!

Yes, I agree with what you said. Maybe the plastic bags are very convenient in a period of time, so people like to use them. But the pollution caused by plastic bags becoming more and more seriously. So we should take measure limit the use of them.

Encourage recycling and avoid littering. Even reward those who do it right, But I don't think we need any more laws. Government cannot force people down these paths.

Yes, I agree with it. Here this rule has applied for some time. After you go shopping in the supermarket. If you want the plastic bags, then you have to pay for extra money. Although it seems it is inconvenient, but in the long term this rule will be good for the environment. I can suffer this kind of inconvenience. When I go out, I will have a habit to bring my cloth bag. I love China

Yeah, I'm completely in favor of that. In China, there are less or no free plastic bags for customers at supermarkets or other shores. People are highly recommended to bring bags along with they when they go shopping, or use the paper bags instead. You see, plastic things cannot be easily degraded, which makes our environments worse. Limiting the use of plastic bags can relieve it to some extent.

I agree. Plastic materials are nothing but pollutants to the earth. They can't be recycled and they can't be burned though they are reusable. However there's also a limit to how many times it can be reused before it becomes useless. Alot of people still doesn't see the harm plastics brought to earth and they are still coming up with fanciful designs for disposal bags. Though there are programs and events out there, educating the public about limiting of disposal bags, it's not working well after all. Like here in my country, we have to pay $0.10 for disposal bag if we need it for our shopping stuffs. Come on, it's only $0.10 and how many of us do really bother about that?
