Have any of you ever done this? I see this all the time and it honestly cracks me up every time. I've seen a messed up fender bungee-corded together so it wouldn't fall of, I've seen a side mirror duct-taped on, I've seen a plastic bag cover a shattered window on an old car before..
Have you ever done something like this? And what was it?

I've seen a few of these, but I haven't done any myself.
I still drive around with the broken bumper at the rear of my car. It's like my badge of honor after my duel with a concrete garbage holder near a strip mall. It didn't move and it refused to get away from my path after I backed on it several times.

This is funny. I see this at least once a week. Im guessing people just dont have the money to fix it. I asked my neighbor not to long ago how she broke her rear view side mirror and well she ran into a mailbox with it which is very common here of course. But then she went to get a new one put in and it got 130.00 dollars which is way outrageous for a older model mini van. So she took a mirror from the house she had and just taped it in there LOL. Well it works for now until they can get it fixed.
Even better my boyfreinds car hs no engine in it at all but then again it is something hes been working on for a while and is actually trailering it up north this sunday which is great and it will get it out of our hands and it will be done in a couple months. Not his only way of transportaion he has a SUV also LOL.

Sometimes you have to do something just to get home. I had half of my rear bumper pulled off while parked in a parking lot. When I saw it I merely bungee corded it up to get it home and then tried to get another one, to no avail. I eventually BUILT A REAR BUMPER OUT OF 1" OAK.
