Does anybody else deal with this issue? I have Addison's Disease which affects 1 in 100,000 people. Addison's Disease is when the adrenal glands partially or do not work at all. I take hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone to replace the hormones that my body would normally make. This disease is very difficult to work with, it is founded and based by stress. The more stress that you are under the more hydrocortisone you will have to take. The average dose of hydrocortisone is 30 mg a day divided into two doses with 0.1-0.3 mg of fludrocortisone also in two daily doses. This is an auto-immune disease.

I have had Addison's disease since I was seven years old. I only take 5mg of prednisone daily, myself. My natural skin color is quite pale, but due to Addison's-related hyperpigmentation I have had dark skin for most of my life. I also deal with Addison's-related hypotension and hypoglycemia.
