What is our life for?

I sometimes wonder, why do we live? We eat, drink, work, sleep daily, grow old and then one day die. I do not know what is the purpose of this life? Where do we go after we die?
Is working for money all through life is our only goal? I donot have answers. What do you think?

In my opinion, it is up to us to make a purpose for ourselves. Finding a purpose makes a person happy. Some people believe that their purpose is to serve a creator, which, as long as that makes them happy and they are not hurting others in their service to their god, is a fine way to live also.

This is very true.
In facr, one should have a goal in life and work towards it to achieve. If our fixed goal is achieved, then we would feel our lives successful.

eat and sleep? hehehe..my calling is to be a nurse to care for the sick cos thats my profession. and maybe my other purpose is to find my soulmate and have a family someday. i havent really figured out yet still have to find out. Only God knows

I think that answer to this question differs from time to time. As children we would think that the life is for enjoyments. As we grow up as and adult or college going youg people, we feel that life is great joy and it is nothing but the joy only.
However, when we grow up as adult and start taking up some responsibilities, we start feeling that life for performing our duties towards our family, society etc.
Summing up, I think life is a for almost everything good a person is capable of doing.
