We all know the importance of discipline in almost every part of life. However, sometimes it seems that it should not be enforced in some cases. Sometimes it looks like a big burden on the people involved in a particular activity. Ofcourse, it is in extreme cases only.
So do you think that discipline is essential in every matter or some exceptions must be allowed?

Thanks in advance.

Discipline is essential in almost all walks of life. There are certain activities like he creative field where some laxity has to be shown to the people to help them perform at their peak.In such matters too though there shouldn't be external force as it might stifle them,it is advisable for such creative people to self regulate themselves. But in almost any field discipline and hard work will yield good results.

That is what exactly I wanted to say through this discussion. I think that there are some fields where disciplined should not be strictly implemented or else it would become a burden and will kill the creativity of a person. So in certain fields like art, research etc no enforcement of disciplined should be there.
Ofcourse, it does not mean that the person should be allowed in whatever way he wants to without any restrictions. But let these restrictions come from his own side means let him be self disciplined.

Hi,
I do agree that discipline is very important for our life.
Without a discipline, some one life may not be in the right way and
lot of mistakes and problems may occur.
Since my son was young, I have discipline him to be a good boy and make sure
he is doing thing in the right way. Of course, being a small kid,he can be
active and naughty sometimes, but I believe as long as I am giving him
a proper guidance at home and as time pastby, he will be able to know well
what is right and what is wrong.
And discipline has to be adapted when the child is young.

While I agree with you that discipline has to be adapted when the child is young, I do read between the lines in your response. I think that you do agree that as a child he should be allowed to act naturally and that may be little naughty and indisciplined way of doing the things but you feel that it is okay for a child perhaps. You have done right thing by providing right guidance and making your son well disciplined righ from childhood becuase that is the time when good habits can be formed and that goes a long way in the life of a child.
